Adam Simpson, PhD. has served as President of Cliff College since 1984, before which time he was Cliff's Dean of Students. He graduated from Harvard University in 1963 with a degree in History, and received his Masters and Doctorate from Balliol College, Oxford University, specializing in the popular culture of Twentieth Century America. His Doctoral thesis, analyzing the lyrics of Lorenz Hart and Cole Porter in terms of their reflection and representation of contemporary society, holds the distinction of being the only work simultaneously published in the Oxford Journal of Historical Themes and Esquire Magazine. It is not widely known that Dr. Simpson is an avid collector of antique women's lingerie, which he loves to wear beneath his jogging suit when he takes his daily constitutional.
